Scottish Institute for Enterprise £15k National Business Plan Competition 2008 Winners

Latitude 56 Degrees have won the most prestigious prize in Scotland for student & graduate enterprises scooping the top £15k prize. Tough competition was fended off from over 600 applications - 600 of the best ideas from the cream of the 215,000 student population of Scotland.

The Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) run their Business Plan Competition annually, to give any student or recent graduate with a good idea the chance to turn it into a fully fledged business. Applicants are given the chance to turn their idea into a workable business plan, attend the Enterprise Academy, and ultimately to win £15,000 for their business start-up. LAT56° were announced as winners at the National Student Enterprise Summit on Wednesday 12th March, in the Caird Hall, Dundee.
