A Unanimous Decision by the Dragons - On the 23rd of June 2007, LAT56° cracked open the champagne in Aviemore, the capital of adventure sports in Scotland. LAT56° won the Adventure Sports Business Idea Competition at Dragons' Glen, part of the Outsider Festival.

The Outsider Festival is a new event attended by 10,000 people combining the best things about a music festival with the best things about the outdoors. It combined live music including KT Tunstall, Crowded House, Eddie Reader, Capercaillie, The Complete Stone Roses and Idlewild with comedy acts, mountain bike races, trail running, bushcraft lessons and of course Dragon‘s Glen which was hosted by Kirsty Wark.

LAT56° pitched their adventure sports business idea to the Dragons and won outright in a unanimous decision from all judges taking home a cash prize, product design consultancy support worth £1000 from Fearsomengine plus business mentoring support from Globalscot. Will Whitehorn, Head of Branding at Virgin called the LAT56° brand "incredibly strong".
